Ikebana arrangements shown above were made by the instructor and students at the classroom of California Flower Art Academy. Some designs are not very sophisticated only because they were made by our students who lack experience of Ikebana. However we believe these photos help you understand what Ikebana is.
Many of Ikebana arrangements are designed making the best use of line flowers. One of the biggest difference between Ikebana arrangement and European design is that Ikebana often features the graceful beauty of linear curve that can be expressed by using the materials such as thin twigs/branches, bear grass, curly willow and grape vines whatsoever.
Photographs uploaded in this section show some of examples of such arrangements. By way of adopting Ikebana style of floral arrangements, you can create a unique designs. In Japan we can often find beautiful floral arrangements which look like blending Japanese traditional style of arrangement and European designs.
