Our flexible lesson schedule helps task oriented students
All these floral arrangements were made by our students under instructions of our floral design teachers during real lessons in the classroom of California Flower Art Academy.
Due to our small class system limiting number of students to no more than 4 per class, we can set up lesson schedule of each student flexibly. Namely each student can set up his/her own lesson schedule, which means our school does not follow semester system. Also school can temporarily adjust lesson time and number of designs in each lesson depending on each student's needs. (Total required number of designs to complete a course cannot be changed). |
This kind of "modification" is sometimes implemented to the extent the situation on the school side allows. This is quite students-friendly especially to following people.
A. Students commuting from a distant location B. Students who are in a hurry to complete a course C. Students who are too busy to fix schedule ahead D. Students who temporarily stay in the Bay Area
Here is some of concrete examples showing how our student can be a beneficiary: We sometimes have a student who commutes from a distant location (such as Napa, Santa Cruz, Monterey, Hollister etc) by driving a long way. |
We would like to try to minimize the frequency of student's commutation. In this kind of case, we often increase number of designs per session from 2 (usual) to 3 (special) by extending the lesson hour from 2.5 hours to 3.5 hours. Students who need to complete a course in a short period of time are often treated in the same way.
Also people who are too busy to commit the future lesson schedule can hold to set up future lesson schedule. Namely only when (any day of the week) they can spare time, they can take lessons. It is not necessary to take lessons every week on a consecutive basis. We always do our best so our students can work flexibly. California Flower Art Academy offers a Wide Range of Programs.
