All these photos show flower arrangements designed and made by our students under the directions of our instructor during real lessons of California Flower Art Academy. We specialize in training floral designers and floral artists. We have been educating local people in the San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley since 1990 so that they can be a floral artists. Some people say we are vocational school or trade school focusing on floral art. However we are not such big organization. We are nothing but a private business entity with a business license and seller's permit specializing in teaching flower arrangements.
In short we are not a vocational school. We are not a trade school. We offer job specific training classes for floral designers. Our Wide Range of Programs focusing on European floral arrangements and Japanese traditional Ikebana arts can help you learn a variety of floral designs so that you can enjoy flower arranging hobby or floral design business by running a floral shop or working as an independent floral designer.

California Flower Art Academy belongs to Flower Decorators Association (Tokyo, Japan) who certifies us as an floral design school authorized by this organization. Certification goes back to 1990 from when we officially start the operation as a floral arrangement school in California.
As mentioned in the above, we focus on training floral artists by way of teaching a variety of floral designs. However we do not offer any classes for floral shop management. Therefore if you would like to learn floral business management or floral shop management, we have no choice but to recommend you to join other schools. When it comes to flower arrangement training, we have a long term history and experiences. Our managing director has been working on Japanese traditional floral art called Ikebana and also European floral arrangement for over 30 years. And for both types of floral designs, she has licenses as a floral design instructor authorized in Japan respectively.  |
If you are interested in learning floral arrangements for home decorations, weddings, funerals and any other events, we can help. Also for those who like Japanese traditional floral art (Ikebana), we are more than happy to teach you how to do starting from scratch.

REMARKS: We do not offer Ikebana Arrangement Instructor Course. None of Ikebana courses we offer is designed for training students to become Ikebana Instructor.
