These arrangements were made by our students under the instructions of our floral design teachers during real lessons in the classroom of California Flower Art Academy.
As seen from these photos, the shape of arrangements look like a crescent moon. This type of arrangement is done not only by European floral designers but also Japanese Ikebana artists. Students who belong to Fresh Flower Arrangement Elementary Course can learn how to make a crescent arrangement. Although the title of the course is Elementary Course, it offers a variety of designs from a very simple all round arrangement to a little bit advanced one such as asymmetrical designs like L Shape and S Shape designs etc etc. Namely students can learn purely entry level to sophisticated designs.
We can find many floral designs that seem to have affected each other by European and Japanese style of designs. And crescent arrangement is one of such designs. California Flower Art Academy has been teaching both European style arrangements and Japanese traditional floral art called Ikebana since our foundation back in 1990. Students can enjoy learning a variety of designs at our school. Regardless of the purpose for learning floral arrangements, for hobby or for business, we can help.
