These floral arrangements were made by our students under instructions of our flower design teacher during real lessons in the classroom of California Flower Art Academy.
As shown in the pictures, all flower elements are vertically long and the space between each element is almost same and the height of each vertical element is almost same. It really looks very organized. This is a typical symmetrical arrangement and all flower elements are placed in parallel each other, which is the reason why this is called
Parallel Arrangement. Parallel arrangement uses at least 3 vertical elements. Typically 5 to 7 elements are used and more number of vertical elements are found in this arrangement. In order to support several number of tall elements, horizontally long and shallow type container (but reasonably "deep" enough to place necessary floral foams) is usually used.
Usually the overall appearance of this arrangement is like a rectangular shape. It never looks like a round or circular shape. Then in what occasion and what kind of place is this particular arrangement displayed ? There is no rule or consensus regarding the place or occasion for displaying this particular arrangement. Namely it is OK to display at any place you like. Since this arrangement uses tall flowers, if this is displayed on a table, it MAY look unstable.
Therefore it is better to display it on the floor. If the height of arrangement is not very tall, you could place it on a table as well. Students of
