“Grace is the celebration of life, relentlessly hounding all the non-celebrants in the world. It is a floating, cosmic bash shouting its way through the streets of the universe, flinging the sweetness of its cassations to every window, pounding at every door in a hilarity beyond all liking and happening, until the prodigals come out at last and dance, and the elder brothers finally take their fingers out of their ears.”
“Christmas gift suggestions: to your enemy, forgiveness. To an opponent, tolerance. To a friend, your heart. To a customer, service. To all, charity. To every child, a good example. To yourself, respect.”
This past summer Duke met me at my house for a shoot for his album. An exceeding talented musician with a long and colorful career, Duke was a good sport about experimenting with light and scene around the house. A vintage mid-century chair in my daughter's room came in handy as well as the motorcycle shed in the backyard . . .
Good luck Duke and congratulations on the success of your album!
I recently had a shoot with Mr. Glenn Zienowicz for his upcoming CD cover at the Providence Biltmore. He kindly agreed to relax a moment at The Spa at the Providence Biltmore with my exhibit from Ireland.
Perhaps you can pay a visit to The Spa at the Providence Biltmore and indulge in their luxurious services and purchase art for yourself or that special someone in your life?
Very Excited that the wildly talented contemporary ballet dancer Alan Oscar Alberto will also be modeling (and hopefully flying) at the December 27 workshop at The Dorrance! Mark your calendar now for a creative gift to yourself or others.
“Methinks we have hugely mistaken this matter of Life and Death. Methinks that what they call my shadow here on earth is my true substance. Methinks that in looking at things spiritual, we are too much like oysters observing the sun through the water, and thinking that thick water the thinnest of air. Me thinks my body is but the less of my better being. In fact take my body who will, take it I say, it is not me.”
“I have learned that if you must leave a place that you have lived in and loved and where all your yesteryears are buried deep, leave it any way except a slow way, leave it the fastest way you can. Never turn back and never believe that an hour you remember is a better hour because it is dead. Passed years seem safe ones, vanquished ones, while the future lives in a cloud, formidable from a distance.”
“I think people who are creative are the luckiest people on earth. I know that there are no shortcuts, but you must keep your faith in something Greater than You, and keep doing what you love. Do what you love, and you will find the way to get it out to the world.”
