Imagine You Are Winning

On April 15, 2013, two homemade bombs detonated 12 seconds and 210 yards apart at 2:49 p.m., near the finish line of the annual Boston Marathon, killing three people and injuring several hundred others, including 16 who lost limbs. There was an incalculable amount of grief for the families and friends directly affected. Those of us who didn't know any of the innocent victims or their families and friends became grievers too. In addition to our natural concern for those who died and their survivors, whose worlds were decimated, we all experienced a loss of safety, a loss of trust, and above all, a loss of innocence. As members of the family of humankind, we are all affected whether we knew someone or not. Where to begin this grieving process?  “Imagine You Are Winning” is an attempt to understand the process of moving forward from grief and loss.
