Howls of a Primitive Abstract Painter 7/20/19
This is a piece made with a paint created with coffee grounds, hot coffee, and linseed oil. My paintmaking skills need work. I need a mortar and pestal.

This link is an old You Tube video of me speaking at the end of a painting show at the Albany Upstate Artists Guild, February 26, 2011.
I have not done this again since. It is actually a neat origin story.

My painting studio is back in good shape after the flooding. I have opened up the space, and am almost ready again for studio visits.*

A Naked You
(6-17-19)
While I
paint
I ponder
A naked you.
Not a nude
you,
Sitting in
my chair,
Lips full
but closed,
Soon to open
for my art.
It is a
naked you,
Lying in my
bed,
Waiting,
Wondering,
Whispering,
“Put the fucking paintbrush down.”
A naked you
I ponder
While I
paint
