The focus of my art is the interior world of women and their power as healers, leaders, wise women and the creative muse.

Fiber has belonged to the realm of women since prehistoric times and I find fiber art the perfect medium to tell Her Story.

I approach art making in an intuitive way, with a simple sketch, idea, or without any specific goal but to enjoy the process.

I often use hot wax and a tjanting tool for a resist method, and mix dyes for silk screening, painting, stamping and dyeing the fabric.  Discharge methods are also used with silkscreen, stamps and a paint brush.

The tapestries are sewn with borders and sometimes quilted.  All the fabric I use is created from white linen or cotton in my studio.
