I have always painted with an emotional response to my subject matter whether landscape, portraits or still lifes I held my first exhibition on graduation and have more recently appeared on Sky Arts landscape artist of the year. My work has been shortlisted for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.I have sold paintings throughout the world and had my own gallery in the north east of England for twenty years. I now paint in my studio on the outskirts of Durham City. My current works are essentially landscapes based upon my local area and my travels elsewhere.
