Pen Cove from Camano Island
My work starts when I talk to my garden and listen, watch the passing scenery, idly scan and feel the forest, beach and horizon. Images replay and re-form. Colors, lines, textures, layers  - emotions - emerge as I lose sense of time. Then the art begins creating itself. It morphs. It changes. It becomes what I think of as a “magic picture.” I would like you, the viewer, to have a spontaneous, intuitive response before recognizing the literal subject.
