Three-dimensional structures occupying space has always interest me. Fascinated by sculpture, I discovered a ceramic classes to explore structures. What I discovered was a fun way to learn about myself and develop observational skills. Working with clay became a mediative experience for me to calm my mind and exercise my creative muscle. I observe the environment with more awareness. Shapes, textures, and movements are some of the elements that I observe then attempt to translate into my work. I work with stoneware, alternating between wheel thrown and hand-built pieces provides a continuously way to explore shapes and movement. Then the application of glazing is used to achieve positive interactions for desired texture, brilliance, and harmonious colors....
