Jonathan has been with us in the gallery from the start. He had a background in fashion design and worked in his parents jewellery shop at a young age and the influence shows in his beautiful work. Each piece Jonathan creates is a unique design.
About
'Purple Raven Art' was once called 'The Garden Gallery', when it was first opened in 2010 by artist Graham Knuttel and located at the back of a garden centre in Crowenstown. The decision was made to close the garden centre towards the end of 2013 and concentrate solely on the art gallery.
Hazel Revington-Cross is an artist herself who understands that when an artist exhibits their work they bare a part of their soul. She had a huge amount of encouragement starting out. She will continue to pass on this encouragement to others.
Purple Raven Art will specialise in unique, affordable, original art, local and Irish quality craft, a broad range of spiritual supplies &unusual gift ideas.

MemoriesA photographic trip down memory lane....The day after the night before
'Food is symbolic of love when words are inadequate' - Exhibition by Hazel Revington-Cross My phone was hopping yesterday evening with texts saying sorry I can't make it so I was a bag of nerves by 7 o'clock wondering would anyone be there. Well as it turned out it was packed to the gills and the best part was there were so many new faces who had never been at one of our nights before and they had a brilliant time. An unbelievable amount of food was dropped off for the Simon Community.
Soul Spirit Exhibition
Twenty five artists- one title! Soul Spirit Exhibition Saturday 27th of June 7-10pm Many of our gallery artists have been working hard to create pieces on the theme of "Soul Spirit" where they have been left to interpret the theme in any way they wished.
The morning after Culture Night
The fourth Culture night at PURPLE RAVEN ART gallery had a huge attendance this year with a bus pulling up at the gate to let people off from Mullingar at the start of the night. Woodcarver Richie Clarke had three magnificent wood sculptures on display and he put the finishing touches on the Salmon of Knowledge while people watched him work…including the resident cat. All three sculptures will be on display at the ploughing championships.
Strong Women Exhibition July 12th 2014
Purple Raven Art Gallery will launch a new exhibition on July 12 th . Entitled ‘Strong Women’ the exhibition will honour the struggles of ordinary woman with 35 pieces of work from a broad range of artists including Roisin Duffy, Jennifer Farley and Morgan Gibbs.
Gallery owner and artist Hazel Revington-Cross planned the exhibition over the last four months, in order to celebrate the struggles of women including those who have lost children, fought cancer, survived spousal and parental abuse or battled...
