I am a pilgrim and daily painter, who seeks to unearth the treasures of each day. As I gather my thoughts as well as my paints, I discern my spiritual gifts with a prayer and a cup of tea. I approach each canvas with a sense of wonder, joy and enchantment. I'm intuitive and with each mark I allow my impressions to guide what I see.
Working in oils for over twenty years feels like being with an old friend. We know each other so well. Our conversations throughout the years have been soulful and I always look forward to the next one. We talk about many things, especially my impressions of how I see His Creation. Warm colors include red, orange, and yellow, and variations of those three colors. These are the colors of fire, of fall leaves, and of sunsets and sunrises, and are generally energizing, passionate, positive, and joyful.
Cool colors include green, blue, and purple are calming and harmonizing.

 | | I am currently working on The Goddesses of Florida series which is my hip version of Roman Goddesses like Venus, Ceres and Diana. I wonder how these colorful goddesses would interact with the natural world in Florida. In celebration of life, these strong beauties get to protect, nurture and honor nature in ways I can only dream. |

Barn Renovation & Painting Big
Finally moved into the barn! It’s far from being fully renovated but I found a corner to paint BIG! Listen to a quick story about living on a country property in the Dordogne. I can hardly believe it’s our 8th summer here.

I've become more aware of being in the flow state more often. How do I know??? cuz my husband will accidently startle me while I'm in the "zone". We always have a good laugh even though I've probably lost a few years of my life from the jolt!
I keep a photo of Monet and Mother Mary near me in my art studio, along with a corkboard of things that bring me joy.
