Information on the IAPS Convention

Dear Artists,

As the IAPS Convention gets closer, we frequently think of things we'd like to communicate to people who are planning to attend or considering attending, but we don't want to barrage you with lots of emails.
Instead, we've created an IAPS Convention blog, and we'll be posting to it frequently, with updates, news, a sneak peek at planning progress, and information that will help you prepare for the convention:
And to look at the International website:

We suggest you bookmark this page, and check it frequently. We hope you'll enjoy the posts!
See you in June,

PSSD Membership Show at Gallery 21

Margaret Larlman, Debbie Krentz & Valorie Barnard
Loretta Deczynski & Husband
The Gallery sparkled with a new look; floor treatment of polished cement, new windows, lighting, fresh paint and hanging treatment….no more hammers and nails.
23 artists shared their art at Spanish Village in Gallery 21 for the second Membership Show in 2011.   Debbie Krentz Johnson, PSSD President & Show Chairman, pulled it all together with the help of  Valorie Barnard, Cheryl Revell, Minnie Valero and all the other artists who brought finger food for the Friday evening reception.   Good Show Everyone!

Demonstration by Karen Howard

One thing for sure we know, every pastel artist has their own unique method
of application.  Starting left to right, right to left or painting all over the paper.
Karen likes to work from the left down but for this particular demonstration she
painted in the middle explaining the finer details....shadows, refections & color
values.   Case in point is the silver & glass pitcher, plate and a peach.    Thanks
for a great demonstration.  We saw a meticulous still life come to life with great
tips and secrets for our enrichment.  Karen donated an original still life for raffle
which Tam Stautland won..
