Jean Doyle is a visual artist based in Dublin, Ireland. She holds an honours degree in Fine Art (Painting) from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin (2007). Doyle has also studied Fine Art at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Bologna, Italy. Since then she has been working as a full-time professional artist and curator and is currently Artist in Residence and Project Manager at Ranelagh Arts Centre in Dublin. In 0ctober (2012) she received an Arts Council award for travel and training which helped enable her to take part in a 6 week artist’s residency in Orissa, India as part of The RIACE International Arts and Cultural exchange programme. This led her to curate three successful exhibitions in her native Dublin featuring the traditional artwork of 51 Indian artists from the heritage village of Raghurajpur. This was the first time this work was exhibited outside of India.
