I studied Art at Cumbria College of Art & Design before going onto a degree course at Glasgow School of Art, graduating in 1989.
Since then I have been engaged as a practising artist working at WASPS Studios Glasgow. I have been involved in numerous group and solo exhibitions at home and abroad, and have also travelled extensively in Europe, USA , Hawaii as well as Japan and was involved in an exhibition of East Asian inspired work at Obsidian Art, Stoke Mandeville, the A.Gallery, Glasgow and the Seagull Gallery, Gourock.
Much of my work centres on landscape subjects, using Scottish scenes as well as foreign. Recently I have been tackling more figurative and urban subjects. In 2012 I began a project based on the history of women's football titled, 'The First Ladies of Football' the exhibition opened at the Scottish Football Museum at Hampden Park and has since appeared at the North Ayrshire Heritage Centre, RIG Gallery, Greenock and the Annan Muesum & Art Gallery.
The project has been featured in numerous publications and was a source for the BBC Alba documentary 'Honeyballers'
