A highly realistic study of foaming ocean surf caressing the sands of a quiet beach. In the background, a family enjoys a day in the sunshine. Bold organic shapes, lush brushwork and delicate details. I do quite a few of these paintings; this is a quick study oil sketch that I did to work out some technical issues for a much larger piece.
