The Chronicles At The Spot Album Cover Michael Turner |
Next |
This piece was completed for the album cover of "At the Spot" The Chronicles upcoming album. The band asked me to paint a lounge at the end of the night, after everyone has gone home the equipment still on stage and the feeling that's left after the show is over. I used the Flyer's club in Gander as the reference for the bar and added a stage and curtains, taking some inspiration from Hopper and his painting "New York Movie". I added the bands logo on the bass drum on the stage with photoshop, the original was too small to get the detailed script on it. Date: 2008 Size: 8" x 10" Medium: Acrylic on Canvas |
