Flower Sculptures are hand-sculpted from 140 lb. watercolor paper and painted with acrylic pigments then sealed with a matte-gloss varnish...the end result is a realistic, sturdy and long lasting reproduction of the actual flower!
I was at the Mississippi Department of Archives and History this month when I visited their gift shop. There, I saw a basket of beautiful flower sculptured pins and the gardenia was a standout. I had to make a choice and the Gardenia won my favor. After rturning home I looked for your web site so that I could buy another one. Friends ask to touch the flower and have complimented how realistic it appears. They are amazed when I tell them it is made of paper. American artists are far above the rest.
