Beyond the Page (1) was created originally to be part of an exhibition in New York's Chelsea Market. Originally a factory, the Market's walls were exposed brick and had been outfitted with acrylic holders for the artwork that floated out from the surfaces. Taking a clue, I created a seris of pieces that were pierced with openings to allow a glimpse of the brick behind and to echo the simple plane of the holders.
