As a subscriber of Zhibit.org you receive a private studio where you can display your art without annoying banners or ads. Our goal is to help you create a website that is good enough for you to list on your business card as your primary online presence.

Easy to use

Zhibit.org's simple user interface will guide you through the process of managing your account. Arrange your artwork in galleries, display your bio and contact information and up to two free-for-all pages, all with a click of the mouse. Knowledge in HTML is not needed.

Unlimited updates

Your website on Zhibit.org is 100% self-administered by you which means you don't have to wait on your website designer and pay extra whenever you want to make changes. Upload new artwork or remove pieces you've sold and see your updates reflected immediately. Updates are completely free of charge.

Online sales

Sell your art to your visitors directly off your Zhibit.org website. You will be notified by email whenever a purchase is made and it is then up to you to fulfill the order and ship the items to the buyer. Payments are deposited into your PayPal business account directly by the customer with no mediation of Zhibit LLC so there are never any commission charges.

Shopping cart

A shopping cart can hold items for your customers for up to 30 days giving them a chance to make up their mind and return later to finalize their purchase. In addition, a shopping cart also allows you to accept orders for multiple items.

Directory listing

Zhibit.org's directory is a simple way to increase the visibility of your website and to help visitors find your artwork. The directory lists all member websites cross sectioned by geography or categories and makes your artwork searchable through Zhibit.org's site search.

Search engine listing

All websites hosted on Zhibit.org are periodically crawled by the major search engines. Zhibit.org employs several search engine optimization (SEO) techniques to improve the ranking of your website and increase the chances that it will be discovered by people searching for art.

Domain name aliasing

When you connect a privately owned domain name to Zhibit.org you designate our systems to serve as your web server. When visitors navigate their browser to your domain, Zhibit.org's servers will respond to all incoming HTTP requests while obscuring our domain name from the browser's address bar effectively making it look like it's your own private website.

Domain name registration is not included with subscription and additional costs may be involved.

Earn ad revenue

Link your Google AdSense for Content account with Zhibit.org to display online advertisements on your website and earn a share of the ad revenue it generates. This feature is currently in beta and is subject to change at any time.

Site analytics

Use Zhibit.org's internal hit counter of unique visitors or link your third-party site analytics account to analyze how visitors interact with your website and gauge the success of your website and marketing efforts.

Unlimited data transfer

Whether your site is visited by one or one hundred people a day, unlimited data transfer is included with all subscription plans.

Copyright protection

While no method can fully guarantee that your images will not be copied or duplicated, Zhibit.org employs various technical means to protect your copyright in the work you upload to the site:

a) You have the option to superimpose a "COPYRIGHT" watermark on your artwork images. b) You can choose whether or not to let search engines index and archive your images. c) We have barriers in place preventing visitors from saving copies of images. d) A copyright notice is displayed next to each one of your images.

Spam protection

Zhibit.org employs several techniques intended to reduce the chance that spammers will get a hold of your personal information or graffiti your website. Some of these techniques, such as the CAPTCHA, are visible, while others operate behind the scenes.

Guestbook

A guestbook is a great way of keeping in touch with your visitors. Visitors who sign your guestbook receive periodic updates by email whenever new art is available from you. Subscription plans with direct guest mailing extend on this functionality and allow you to also send your guests special email bulletins.

Multitude of designs

Customize the look of your website by choosing from our ever expanding list of themes and color schemes or do it yourself and choose your own color set or font.

Blog

Blogs are the web's version of diaries and are a great way of sharing your thoughts with the community. Write about an upcoming show, about a recent visit to a museum or about whatever moved you that week. It's up to you.
