| | This image represents the confusion of self. It shows the smooth feminine curves of flesh and form at the bottom as compared to the area of space that is the psyche or spirit. The features that one uses to identify self, the eyes, the teeth, the lips are featured prominently, but displayed slightly skewed. The eyes are blood shot and spaced right side and wrong side up to show the different ways one can see. The teeth are yellowed because they are the bone of self, what one needs for nourishment but not taken care of and clearly aging, showing the imperfection of youth. The fusion and yet the discontinuity of mind, body and spirit are shown in this piece. |
