2004 in Julian on a fundraising tour to help rebuild James Hubbell's home one year after the Cedar Fires I came across a solitary sunflower beaming against the charred and blackened manzanilla landscape. In that instant the sunflower symbolically was speaking of the cycle of life and from the ashes of tragedy we will rise again. |
