The San Luis & Rio Grande Railroad hauls freight from Monte Vista Colorado and Antonito Colorado to Walsenburg Colorado. During the summer months the Steam Department runs a tourist operation between Alamosa Colorado and La Veta Colorado. Running over 120 miles daily the route takes you over La Veta pass once each direction.
