About

My first experience in art happened at the recommendation of a friend. A class in watercolor. Even as a novice, I became excited at the possibilities, and the challenge in it. After a few " adult education classes", and much personal agony, and experience, my art has developed. I've always taken interest in flowers, and they were my first inspiration. At first, these were in marker, but many other media have been employed. At first my art was generally on a flat place, paper and canvas. The media include marker, pen and paper, acrylic, watercolor, and other hand held media. Later I branched out and experimented with mixed media using my own ideas, such as wood veneer with metallic acrylic paint, conte' crayons, metallic colored ink, and acrylic markers. The iPad is a fascinating tool to use for art with the software, "Procreate". I've used the various software such as chromatic, and blur to create very different pieces of art. Most of my art is my own discovery, or an adaptation of ideas on different media.
