I am a local artist who draws pencil
portraits of people or pets, using a photograph provided by the client. I have
always dabbled in this type of art, but a few years ago I started drawing
pictures for friends and family – mostly of their kids or their pets – for
Christmas or birthday gifts. Recently, I have been getting requests from
outside my circle of friends and family, so I created a business name – Pencil
Marks – and began taking orders. My portraits make a unique gift for that
hard-to-buy-for person, and it’s also a really great way to memorialize a loved
one or pet who has passed on. At the Pay
It Forward event, I will donate 10% of any order I receive to JLA
Society SVU / Karl Ranch Sanctuary and Rescue – animal rescue is a
cause that is near and dear to my heart, as my wife and I foster dogs with a
local rescue.
