Inspired by the Mursi and Surma tribes of the Omo Valley in Eastern Africa, these people are probably more identified by their fierce stick fighting and the women's lip and ear lobe plates. However, there is a gentler, more refined aspect of their culture; they slip into their surroundings to adorn their bodies with colorful mud, flower grasses, leaves and animal parts. They do this as personal expression and quite competition. The results are quick, stunning, and amazingly beautiful. Dimensions are: 29" h x 11" w x 7" d.
