There is no lack of inspiration, living in the Green Mountains of Vermont. It is like living in a painting. Every where I look , at every time of year and in every bend of the road, there is something beautiful to see. Painting what I love is just a natural evolution. After spending 31 years of my adult life in Berlin, Germany, I was thrilled to come home to Vermont and rejoice in all that nature has to offer. The European-New England combination of my personal experiences can be detected in the subject matter and details in my paintings. In my career as a counselor and therapist, I used art in working with children. Upon retiring I did decorative painting and participated in art and craft shows. When I stumbled upon the old art of reverse painting, I found my niche. It was a challenge to learn the technique and over the years I have developed my own methods and style. I have exhibited my work in numerous juried art shows throughout New England since 2003. It always makes me glow to see people looking at my paintings and smiling.
