Again, this painting was inspired by a photo I took in 2009. I had a feeling I would do something with it one day.. In this piece I took advantage of Derwent Inktense Blocks for the intense dark blue background, the flowers are Faber Castell watercolor pencils with an over lay of pearlescent paint over the petals. 9 x 12" on 140lb watercolor paper. There are man layers of paints involved in the creation of this piece.
