Windmill Island's garden in Holland, MI, inspired by Jackson Pollock's artwork titled "Lavender Mist." Since Jackson 'threw' most of his paint onto the canvas, the use of Polka Dot Plants in the garden was brilliant to mimic his artwork! This piece was paint 'en plein aire.' With the Astilbe and Hydrangea in full bloom, the delightful sounds of the pipe organ and children at play, painting at the garden was magical!
