Lighting Up My World!
My Mother taught me creative needlework, cooking and crafting at an early age and gave me tins of watercolours and sketchbooks for Christmas.  A portrait painter in oils at first, I branched out into portrait photography. I started out using my SLR Konica camera with different lenses and as a member of my university, camera club I was captivated by the possibilities when I developed my own photographic film learning to manipulate light and shadow, crop and zoom in. I was lucky enough to  capture some unique photographic portraits, which I gifted to my friends and family and some were published in my teacher association newsletter.

Creative expression as painter/printmaker in mixed media is my daily challenge. So I am constantly exploring new and exciting ways to express my exuberance and deeply felt spirituality with a variety of materials.

My paintings are inspired by music, literature and the sights and sounds of the city.

Certified Ontario College of Teachers, Visual Arts Specialist, I earned a Bachelor of Arts 4 year degree English Specialist and I hold a Master of Education in developing curriculum for arts education.
