acrylics 18"x27" - A simple pile of sand next to a weather-worn old wall. I am expressing an almost zen-like fondness for the play of texture against texture. Likewise, I'm inspired by the relationship of some very subtle colors. This painting is executed with a great deal of texture and has a surprising ability to play with light.
