Cynthia A. Roach, Artist
Cynthia pursued her passion for art by obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Cleveland Institute of Art in 1982, with a major in Industrial Design and Graphics Minor. Following her education, she embarked on a diverse career path, showcasing her artistic talents in various capacities.
After graduating Cynthia began her professional journey at Pickard China in Antioch Illinois. She served as a pattern designer and then transitioned to a job at FairPlay Scoreboard Company, employing her skills as a sign painter. In 1989, she entered into marriage and assumed the role of a military wife which led her to different locations due to her spouses military service.
During her time in Hawaii on Oahu, specifically at Kaneohe Marine Base, Cynthia found opportunities to utilize her artistic abilities in marketing roles. In the field of marketing Cynthia demonstrated versatility by undertaking various tasks such as designing flyers, creating a logo for Kaneohe Bay Fest,
painting and producing signs for kiosks.
After devoting time to raising her two sons, Cynthia returned full circle to her passion for fine art. In addition to her pursuits in fine art, Cynthia also found enjoyment in carving gourds and crafting jewelry. However, her primary passion lies in watercolor painting, particularly the Batik technique.
