My art is a quiet exploration of inner feelings through the beauty of the natural world.
I paint expressive landscapes and vibrant, layered abstracts inspired by the light, textures, and colors I encounter during travels and in everyday moments — the dramatic glow of a setting sun over water, the rich tones of a winding forest path, and the shifting energies of sky and earth. Each piece is created with bold brushstrokes, thick impasto texture, and intuitive layers of color.
Whether capturing a serene landscape or releasing pure emotional energy in abstraction, my work celebrates the freedom to express my true self. I hope these paintings offer viewers a space to pause, feel deeply, and see something of their own inner world reflected back.
Here are two of my recent abstract works with my thoughts on what inspired them. They are available for purchase in the Artwork section of my website.
Deep Sea... this acrylic abstract I painted in the mood of a watery underworld. Cool waters and vibrant colors that are hidden from most and enjoyed by the few who make the effort to go under and explore.
Collage and acrylic paint were used to create this feeling of autumn at dusk. Memories of wandering the woods of Northern Wisconsin in October touched me as this imagery emerged. One could almost smell the damp aroma of the woods mixed with fireplaces burning in the homes nearby.
