New Day, new adventures

12/17/06

It's been quite some time since I sat and wrote a blog, but this morning felt "just right" for a conversation.
The last year has brought me a wealth of opportunity but, unfortunately, I haven't been able to take advantage of all of it. The few doors that I've managed to open and walk thru have broadened my outlook on life....my outlook on relationships and my outlook on art. I have a tattoo that says "one day at a time"...now, I'm not in AA, but I feel that if I approach every day and just concentrate on making that day the best day possible, then I am successful. A friend of mine as a saying..."if you wake up on the right side of the grass, then it's the begining of a good day". I must agree with him, if we wake up, then we are on track for a good day.

I'm anxious to do more work on my black and white series and have at least 10 paintings by the end of January. So far there are 3 that are almost complete, but they need to be finished, sealed and photographed. I wish that there were more hours in the day and more money to buy canvas so that I can devote all the time necessary to complete my B/W project.

As Christmas rapidly approaches, I want to wish everyone I know (and those who have visited my site) a very happy holiday and hopefully, a prosperous New Year.

A Welcomed Vacation

12/6/06

I just got back into Dallas after spending some very good, quality time with my best friend of 43 years.
This was a chance to get away from the phones, the traffic, the people, the problems of work and for a little while...my painting.

I needed the time to just clear my head and empty it of everything. Now I'm ready to start fresh on all of the projects that lay before me.

There are a couple of ideas that I came up with on the plane, while flying back home, and I think they will be good for my black and white series. Hopefully it won't be too long before I will be able to add them to my photo gallery.

It looks like there are going to be some adventures coming up after the first of the year and I'm anxious to tackle them...one and all.

To everyone who continues to check out my website, leave a comment or inquires about a purchase.....thank you so very, very much.

Oh, a special message to Phttt....thanks.
