About

Betty grew up in Philadelphia,Pennsylvania where She displayed her art creating seasonal scenes on classroom chalkboards for teachers at her elementary school she found her first love Art.
She Moved to San Diego earned a Academic Degree in Social Science and continuing education in Drug studies UCSD. She was awarded Soroptimist women of Distinction, and Nation Women Business  owners award. 
For years, she involved herself in her community eventually, becoming an elected official promoting open space and the Arts. 
The loss of her son Kevin and retirement brought her back to the artists. Painting helped her deal with the grief by releasing and escaping into her Art. 
She is an active board member of NCSFA and often exhibits her paintings with group. Her paintings have shown in local exhibits, including the Poway Performing Arts, the Escondido Municipal Gallery, and the San Diego Fair.
