In amber light the branches sway,
A golden hush at close of day.
The trees, like torches, blaze and burn,
As summer sighs and takes its turn.
Each leaf a flame, a fleeting spark,
That drifts through air so still and stark.
Reflections ripple, soft and wide,
Where sky and forest gently glide.
