After a lifetime of personal interest in art, I realized it was finally time to get serious about furthering my skills. It had been many years since I'd been in school, but I returned with the intention of learning to paint. As it had been a long time, I decided to begin with the basics - drawing. After a couple years, I moved on to painting. My first experience with oil paints was terrifying, but through the patience and extraordinary skills of my instructor, I was able to dive in and transfer the skills I had learned in my drawing classes onto the canvas. I've experimented with different styles of painting and don't really have a particular style of my own yet. I'm just enjoying the process.
