Mary M. Rogan is a
student of art, science, and spirituality.
Mary grew up in the culturally rich Brandywine River Valley
of southeastern Pennsylvania. She cultivated her artistic talent at the
Philadelphia College of Art, Drexel University, University of Utah, and The
Sophia Center (Holy Names University) as well as through private instruction
and, most profoundly, through life. Her works are part of private collections
in Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Utah, Washington, California, and internationally in Switzerland and Ireland.
Mary previously exhibited in venues to raise funds for
people of all ages who live without the dignity of shelter and with daily
hunger. Recently she developed cards to compliment the gallery exhibit
“Interiors” and donated each dollar for each sale returned to the transitional
residence for women and children who have experienced homelessness, violence,
addiction, or poverty. During a visit to Ireland at Burren College of Art, she
created works capturing the spirituality of the landscape known as Burren. Mary
spent extensive work in Berkeley, California where she developed her richness
of people, culture, landscape, and arts.
Mary influences nature and paints out of the experience. In
Colors of Life, the paintings speak of deep feelings that conjure up color. The
colors are vivid and at times, it is unclear. My work develops after silence
and contemplation.
