This beautiful gentian looked so much like a bottle gentian to me that it wasn't until later that I caught the difference. It has a different gestalt, to me, standing more erect, and the leaves are a bit narrower. Isn't it a beauty? I saw it growing next to this dead snag all covered with wonderful moss and lichens.
