Art Deco Pitcher Plant

Art Deco Pitcher Plant

$300

I always like to show a plant in situ, because traditional botanical art seems disembodied to me.  Here, at the top of the painting you see the ferns and other foliage that keep pitcher plants company in the bog, while at the bottom I went abstract.  I was thinking of the structural underlayment that holds everything together below the surface, and wanted to be decorative and playful with it.
