| | Born and grew up in Tokyo, Japan. Published 30 books of children's literature in Japan and translated approximately 100 into Japanese. Educated at Tokyo University of Education, and graduate school in the humanities at The University of Chicago. Studied drawings at Glassel Art School in Houston, Texas. Currently divides time between Scottsdale, AZ and San Diego, CA. |
