The next step is to cut out of the plate the parts of the plate that you want to remain the color you printed in Layer One. The plate is then inked again with the next lightest color, placed exactly in the same spot on the print and reprinted over the first layer. This will allow the paper color, the first ink color and the second ink color to show.
