Sanford Sherman Photography Pink Arcade
Enchanting Venice

Sheila O'Rourke, PhD, UCI faculty, Anthropology and Art,  describes this photograph:"This is enchanting because of that illuminated private environment framed by those lovely looping archways. The fascinating, mysterious private environment glows, and the arched bridge tells a story: that's how people who lived behind those arches, the people who planted that little urban garden, walk home -- over that bridge that spans the ancient Venetian canal. What a picturesque life!"

The Venice shoot photographs are the epitome of decades of great work! And of the Venice shots, I marvel at the Venice Nights sequence. I have not yet seen finer representations of this incredible city through the art of photography. Sanford is a master at his craft.
