The angle and colors of the focal features are incredible - the yellow in the facade of this wonderful neo classical villa on the Grand Canal contrasted with the black - and particularly the arched door, windows and balcony ironwork of the ground floor. This then draws the eye right to the wonderful repetition of the color theme of the pier pilings, and to the gondola. Then the eye jumps to that splash of red in the flag -- and the overall drama of the panorama is enhanced by the dynamic blue and white sky with its over all punch."
