Venice Nights

Sheila O'Rourke, PhD, Art and Anthropology, UCI Faculty writes: "This is my favorite shot - the balance of light and dark; the focal points of light along the edge that winds around the classic icons of Venice - gondolas, architecture, night life, the flash of a lit up facade at midpoint on the left balances all and continues the eye line; the light reflecting on the water, and that wonderful shaft of aqua beneath the bold blue gondolas, the contrasting pinks in the water, shoreline, and building, the dots of aqua along the opposite shore in the background - incomparable.
