Since retiring from teaching, Terry has pursued her passion for art. She is a member of the Temecula Valley Art League. Terry designed a flag for the Vintage Hills Community, was the 2010 Temecula Rose Society's signature artist, and was a contributing artist for TVAL's Temecula City Hall Mural. She was the featured artist in the Grace Mellman Library Rotunda in September of 2011, and participated in TVAL's 30th Anniversary exhibit, 2012 and 2014 Juried Art Shows at the Merc gallery in Old Town Temecula. Terry's artwork has been part of many local shows, displayed in businesses, as well as featured in galleries in San Diego, Fallbrook, and as part of an international artists' project, Landfillart.org (online metal canvas gallery). She has joined fellow artists in a special project honoring service men and women who were killed in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, www.Portraitsofthefallenmemorial.org. The portraits were on exhibit in 2013 at the USC Hillel Gallery and on exhibit at the Nixon Library in Yorba Linda in 2014.
