It has been a very good summer! We have had some hot weather here and have spent a lot of our time in the countryside enjoying the beauty of the mountains. Summers in this part of the world are far too short!! It is hard to find time to accomplish half of what you plan to do (like writing a blog...) With September being here a d the days getting shorter it is time to turn our thoughts to preparing for the Christmas season. We have a few shows booked already ...October 10th is Seasonal Delights fall show in Balzac,November 7th & 8thwe will be part of Springbank Creative Art's annual show, and Nov 14th, 15th, We will be at Redwood Meadows! More information to come soon!
We have been keeping busy this Spring. Lots of new creations in the works and several shows and sales. The most recent show was at Vale's Greenhouse in Black Diamond Ab a nice little town on the Cowboy Trail. It was a beautiful show with all the artists' work displayed among the plants in the greenhouses. There were about 50 artists in various media.Truly an inspirational weekend! Can't wait for next year's show! !
Next weekend we are continuing along the cowboy trail to Bragg Creek Ab.This time we are part of the Market Square at Bragg Creek Days. It is our first outdoor market so it should be an interesting experience!
So far December has been eventful! The first week we participated in Caprices Artist Collectives pop up show in Sunridge Mall. The hours were long and the attendance was very disappointing but the group of artists was inspiring! So much talent in one place!
Yesterday we sold our Turquoise and Agate table to a young lady from Winnipeg. I will miss my Teddy Bear table but I am happy to have it going to a new home!
Today we took the scenic drive to Canmore. It was a beautiful day for a trip to the mountains. Andrea and Curtis from Fallen Leaf Gallery have placed several of our boxes and gnome homes in their beautiful show room.
Now its time to get to work and make some Christmas presents!
We have been having a great time the past few weeks! It's fun to get out of the workshop and show off our latest projects! This past weekend was the Springbank Christmas Market. There was a good turnout despite the surprise snowstorm. A big Thank You to all the wonderful people who took the time to come out and see us ,and to the Springbank Creative Arts Club who did such a marvellous job of hosting the event.
This week we re busy getting ready for the Bowness Christmas show, Nov 8 10am - 4pm. We are looking forward to being back in Bowness site of our very 1st show back in March!
After Bowness we have a couple of weeks to work on custom orders and then we will be at Caprices pop up show at Sunridge Mall Dec 1 -Dec 8.It should be lots of fun!
What a fun show ! I think Saturday's show had the best group of artists yet.Great musicians, wonderful artists , delicious food , a really fun day! A big Thank You to Nikki Musser of Caprices Fine Arts for all her hard work!
We have purchased a number of tea boxes for our friends for birthdays and weddings and have had many wonderful comments from the people who received them. Not only are the tea boxes useful but also beautiful. Everyone commented on how great these boxes are but also stated that they intend to display the box where guests can see it and then pick the tea they choose.
Woke up this morning to a white world.....AGAIN!!! This makes gardening a little difficult so we are spending the day today working on new box designs. Hope to have a lot of new pictures soon.
Saturday at the Bowness Spring Craft Sale. .The weather may have been cold but the people were certainly warm..We met a number of other exhibitors, some very friendly and helpful volunteers and many delightful members if the public who made our day very enjoyable .Thank you all and hope to see you at Beatlemaniart in Inglewood April 5!
