Twirling Turtles

Made by Barbara Bell Dubovsky.  Machine pieced, appliquéd and machine quilted.  Fairfield cotton/poly needle punched batting.  56" x 63".  The pattern was published in Quilter's Newsletter Magazine, June 1994 #263.  Appealed to my love of nature and animals.  I made this for my grandson before he was born.  Finished 12/3/20.  It was my first successful attempt at free motion quilting.  Used a Bernina 550QE with BSR.

Oh Barbara, I love this...what marvelous work you did using so many quilting techniques! Your newest grandson is a very fortunate little one to receive such a treasure. How do I find this pattern to download? My sister, who we dubbed Pokey the Turtle early in her life collects turtles and I quilt for her often. She would love this quilt pattern. I hope you are staying safe during this trying time. Bill and I had to cancel our December annual trip to the Eastern shore of Alabama that we have done for years but rather safe than sorry. I get so many compliments from the Cock of the Walk you so generously gifted me. Happy Holidays!!
